With clipboard in hand, Santa now moans
But you’ll have to excuse all of his groans
It’s the same every year with all the supplies
Looking at the list may be hard on the eyes.
The words are all blurry and Santa must squint
There’s something wrong here – do you need a hint?
Why look at the lettering, it’s too small indeed
Santa needs glasses in order to read.
Now where did I put them? Santa says to himself.
I thought I left them right here on this shelf.
There’s work to be done with no time to waste.
That’s why it’s important to find them in haste
I wish I had a tail like a mouse.
Now what do you think about that?
I’d spend all my time just eating cheese
And hiding from the cat!
I wish I had a tail like a pig.
It’s curly yet rather small.
I could wallow around in the mud all day
And not get into trouble at all.
January
Christmas is over and Santa can rest
It's been a long night and he did his best
Delivering toys all over the world is fun
But it's hard work and now he's done.
Santa lies down for a long winter sleep
Mrs. Claus tends to elves - they won't make a peep.
February
After his vacation, Santa is ready!
He prepares for next Christmas – Work will be steady
Lots of things to do as a part of this story,
The first thing he’ll do is take inventory
March
Are we healthy? Time to make sure!
All elves must be fit so as to endure
The difficult work of making the toys
So they won’t disappoint all the girls and the boys!
Santa comes home after delivering his toys
Much to the delight of the girls and the boys
So tired is he, he must take a nap.
He gets in his pajamas and puts on his cap.
“Oh my, but I’m tired,” remarked Santa as he sat
on the edge of his bed giving his pillow a pat.
“My bed is inviting, I have to lie down,”
He explained sleepily after returning from town.
Marjorie Mouse was baking in her kitchen one day when she looked up at her calender and said, “Oh my! It’s almost Valentine’s day!” Marjorie Mouse loved Valentine’s Day. She loved celebrating and she especially liked Valentine’s day because…
Valentine’s Day was also Marjorie Mouse’s birthday!
She decided that she wanted to have a Valentine’s Day party at her home. She sat down and made a list of friends to invite:
Mrs. and Mrs. Melvin and Harriet Mouse, her neighbors on the right
Miss Susie Mouse, the local librarian
Mr. Charlie Mouse of the Cheese Shoppe
Dear sweet Sally Mouse, the elderly mouse who lived up the lane
Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Melissa Mouse, her neighbors on the left along with George, Paula, Tommy and Maggie, their four children.
Ms. Genevieve Mouse, the town’s schoolteacher
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Mouse, the town’s police officer and his wife
Dr. Donald Mouse, the town’s doctor.
