Mrs. LePage is married and has three daughters, Elizabeth, Catherine and Theresa. She resides in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Writing is a hobby; Mrs. LePage is a teacher at heart. She enjoys learning and is currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program majoring in health education and research. She is currently working on a dissertation specifically dealing with the effects of playing games and other leisure activities including reading on brain function. She hopes to one day be a teacher. She has just started writing a story about a child who learns that her grandmother has Alzheimer's disease.
Mrs. LePage, not surprisingly, loves to read and can be seen reading children's literature as well as adult novels. "Reading just takes me away," she sighs. "It's great to relax and curl up with a good book". Some of her favorite authors include Beverly Cleary, Judy Blume, Lois Lowry, and Phyllis Reynolds Naylor. She loves to reread the old fashioned Henry Reed books by Keith Robertson. "They're hilarious," she quips. Beverly Cleary's character Ramona is another favorite.
Mrs. LePage also enjoys playing games. Her favorite? "Too many to list". She owns several games from dice games to card games to board games to computer games. "I like playing simple games as well as games that make you think and strategize". Mrs. LePage also enjoys the Nintendo Wii system and boasts a perfect 300 score on Wii Sports Bowling. She also exercises regularly, often with the Wii Fit.
As far as writing projects, Mrs. LePage's is presently working on a series of books to complement "A Year at Santa's Workshop" and has completed "January at the Workshop". She has just recently completed a draft for "February at the Workshop" and hopes to complete that within the year. Additionally, she is the creator of Marjorie Mouse and, like Marjorie, loves to celebrate the holidays.
